TOPS Tech Career Diploma

The Jump Start TOPS Tech Career Diploma is designed for those students who desire a Career and Technical education gained while earning their high school diploma.

The Jump Start TOPS Tech Career Diploma has multiple pathways depending on student career and is ideal for those students who desire to graduate high school with a credential in a career or technical area.  

The emphasis is on students successfully attaining this credential and graduating high school college and career ready!

Students must choose from the following courses in the Jump Start TOPS Tech career diploma, for a total of at least 23 unit credits. Students must earn credentials in the Jump Start pathway chosen to be eligible for graduation.   

ENGLISH (4 Units):

  • English I

  • English II

  • English III

  • Business English

     

Science (2 Units):

  • Biology

  • Environmental Science/AP

Health (.5 Unit)
Physical Education (1.5 Units)

Culminating Credential

math (4 Units):

  • Algebra I

  • 3 units from the following: Geometry, Financial Math, Math Essentials, Business Math 

social studies (2 Units):

  • Civics

  • U.S. History

Jump Start (9 Units)  

  • 9 career & technical education (CTE) courses in chosen Jump Start Pathway; includes 1 career readiness unit
