The French Settlement High School varsity cheerleaders came out victorious during the Redline Battle on the Bayou competition.
The varsity cheer team competed at the Redline cheer competition in Shreveport.
"This team is the entire package," varsity cheer sponsor Kim Palmer said in a Facebook post after the win. "They cheer their hearts out at games, practice in some form or fashion five days a week, they dance on the sidelines, they travel both near and far to root on two amazing basketball teams, all while maintaining top grades in school."
Palmer said that the team started training for the competition shortly after Christmas.
