Livingston Parish Public Schools held a recognition of excellence ceremony to honor student and teacher of the year across the parish.
French Settlement High School teacher of the year Melissa Elsey was honored at the event. Students of the year Ella Martin (8th grade, junior high student of the year) and Randi Delaneuville (senior, high school student of the year) were also honored.
